Will this fit my RV?

Our light is designed to fit standard RV ceiling light mounting patterns. Most RVs use similar mounting hole spacing for dome lights. If your current light screws into the ceiling with 3 screws, our light will likely fit. We'll provide detailed dimensions before launch so you can verify compatibility.

Can I install it myself?

Yes. If you can change an RV light bulb, you can install our light. It's just two wires (positive and negative) connecting to your existing 12V circuit. No special tools required. We include detailed installation instructions.

What voltage does it need?

12V DC, which is standard RV house battery voltage. The light works safely across the 10-14V range that's normal for RV electrical systems (including when charging).

Does it work with my existing switch?

Yes. Your existing wall switch will turn the light on and off just like before. The smart features (presets, dimming) can be controlled by touching the light, using the phone app, or voice commands through compatible smart home platforms.

Do I need an app?

No. You have three ways to control the light - use whichever works best for you:

• Touch the light - Tap to cycle presets, hold to dim. Works completely standalone.
• Use the app - Fine control from anywhere in your RV. Great when you're comfortable and don't want to reach up to the ceiling.
• Voice commands - Control via compatible smart home platforms like Home Assistant. "Set bedroom to night mode" without getting out of bed.

Can I control it without reaching up?

Absolutely - that's one of our favorite features. Use the phone app to adjust lights from your seat, or voice commands through your smart home platform for hands-free control. This is especially helpful for shorter RVers, anyone with mobility considerations, or when you're already comfortable and don't want to get up. The light adapts to you.

Does it need a network connection?

No. The light works completely standalone. A network connection is only needed for firmware updates (and those can also be done wirelessly via your phone). Perfect for boondocking.

What's the night mode for?

Night mode uses amber-based light that minimizes blue wavelengths. This is easier on your eyes in the dark, helps preserve night vision when you need to get up, and doesn't disrupt sleep patterns like blue-white light does. Great for checking on things without fully waking up.

Can multiple lights work together?

Yes. We're implementing wireless mesh networking, which means your lights can communicate with each other. Change one light's preset and others can follow. Control multiple zones from one button. This feature is planned for a future firmware update.

Does it support color changing?

Yes! A dedicated inner LED ring provides full RGB color capability for mood lighting, movie nights, or entertaining. The main ring uses WWA (Warm-White-Amber) LEDs designed for everyday use - the warm dimming presets handle most daily lighting needs, but it's nice to have color when you want it.

How bright is it?

Up to 800 lumens, which is plenty for a typical RV ceiling light location. That's roughly equivalent to a 60W incandescent bulb. You can dim it down to just a few percent for night mode.

How much power does it use?

Maximum 15W at full brightness. Typical use is much lower - around 5-10W depending on brightness and color setting. On night mode at low brightness, it's just a few watts.

Will it work in extreme temperatures?

Yes. Operating range is -20C to 50C (-4F to 122F). We know RVs can get hot when parked in the sun and cold on winter nights. The light is designed to handle both.

How's the color quality?

Our WWA (Warm White + Amber) LEDs produce natural-looking light with excellent color rendering. Colors appear true and accurate - important for reading, cooking, and everyday tasks where you want to see things as they really are.
